    Morning Coffee Idea

If it's a coffee flavoured caffeine hit you want then you might care to seek out these: They give you a little boost without the need for hot water. Made in Indonesia but certainly available in Europe, we discovered we could buy them from a local Chinese supermarket here in the UK for about...

Of course you could always follow @KariannNor's example and knit something:

    Spanish stumbling stones

As is Anthony Beevor's The Battle for Spain (the revised edition) although trying to keep a clear understanding of the various alphabet soup of organisations is hard.

Lost & Found Credential found in Pamplona Cathedral this afternoon (Sept 4, 2024)

Well done for handing it in but it does highlight a common error - not filling in any contact detail:, address, passport number, mobile phone number!

To increase my backpack size ...or not.

If the 48 is the more comfortable than the 33 then take the 48. Pack everything you would have taken into the 33 then, when it's full, transfer it all to the 48. Cinch down the compression straps and, voila! no vacuum. Have a good Camino.

Can I Walk the Camino Without a Smartphone?

Here's a compromise: take one but leave it switched off . . . unless a dire need arises. Apart from a quite solitary Camino Ingles I always found there were more than enough people along the to interact with without resorting to social tedium er I mean social media. Hell on Camino No2 I even...

How much Spanish do you need to learn?

Too complicated? If you say so, just don't do what I saw a couple of English people do in Tarragona once: the man leant across the counter, stuck two fingers up in front of the barman's face and said (loudly) "TWO beers! OK? TWO beers!" - in English, of course - honestly makes me feel ashamed to...

I wonder what the Gallegos call us pilgrims?
