I was starting to fall off a ladder once but decided to take control. A twist, followed by a push-off with a bit of air time and I landed on a concrete floor. On my feet!

It is the male ducks that have the beauty. When we moved into our house we had flock of mallard friends visit us most days. We found names appropriate for their looks; Domenic, Eugene, Trent, Gertrude and Mildred.

One day we came home and there was a male wood duck on our front lawn. Bob stayed the summer trying to accompany the mallards. They were okay with this but strictly enforced a two foot social distance.
