A special English language tip for Peter and Turga. “I’m sorry” and “I apologize” generally mean the same thing. But not at a funeral.

At a funeral people often say "I'm sorry for your loss" as a condolence, but would not say "I apologize for your loss" (which sounds as if it were your fault).
So Peter and Turga say, ”Thank you very much for that tip” although they may still be a bit bewildered about why they needed that advice in the first place… ?
