Most of the time she was there, right next to me. I didn't tell her about the one that was possibly a grizzly bear until the morning. Yeah, we've had bears walk by the tent. In my pre-Peg days I had one come by when I was sleeping under the stars.

I truly have a bear phobia. I can't do tenting in bear country...even the noise of lesser animals rustling in the dark after I've gone to bed often scare me.
If that grizzly had gotten her, you would now be living in post-Peg days.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I have been thinking about losing some weight but I just completed some calculations. I'm going to grow another 6 inches instead. That would normally cause an increase in my clothing budget but not if I can confine the growth to my neck.

That's a great plan! You could end up as "The Lord of the Rings"

The one wearing sunscreen looks sunburned.
The one not wearing sunscreen has a nice tan.
Besides, burning fat is a quick way to lose weight.

I never had a teddy bear, but at age ten I had a ballerina doll with very flexible legs you could bend in many positions and she wore a blue tutu...my older sister had the same doll in pink.

I had a Chrissy doll.

Also, had a pink stuffed dog, a Puss n Boots lamp that I loved, and my wonderful record player.

Hey, guys, what fave toy/s did you have as children in addition to sentimental bears?
Ok ,
Starting with toy cars.

After the early years I started with

And walking and climbing the mountains in Italy , Austria and Switzerland.

And after I discolated my knees so many times the walking stayed. The rest is history.

I still play with mine. It was a 10th birthday gift from dad.

Well, each to their own - father & son

Apart from my teddy bear (gone to the eternal salmon creeks long ago) I had a collection of rubber trolls, one big and four small, and I wouldn't sleep unless they were arranged in a very specific way beside my pillow - I guess I was a nerd already then

I had a medium size troll doll with yellowish orange hair that I loved around age ten. I combed its hair and made clothes for its strange little squarish shape.
Wish I had kept it...

My first memorable Christmas present was my bike.
The smell...the mechanics..the freedom.
So much that, without telling my parents, as a twelve year old, I got up one Saturday morning and started to pedal to Folkestone (about 230 milea) to see my family. When I was picked up by the Police in Basingstoke I had to spend a night in the Cells.
I made the news that night...my first big adventure.
Apart from that my parents were so poor that they couldn"t afford clothes for us.
Imagine our excitement when we were three that we had the present of a bobble hat and scarf so we could look out of the window
