I recall seeing some of your adorable drawings, but don't recall where.(By the way, I drew my avatar that day. OK, I finish here )

Thanks so much, Rick! I see there are many of his drawings/water colors! I will give each of them a closer look.
Superb photo, thanks for posting it. It pulls me into it.View attachment 93426
The Long and Non-Winding Road.
I loved that Albergue! The vibe was amazing and the courtyard was the nicest one I saw anywhere!9th July, 2006. Day 13, CF. I have found my notes!
Boadilla. The wonderful surprise behind the big circular wall. Were there beds? I mean, single beds? And sheets? I do remember, each one paid the princely sum of €5.00. The albergue part was a converted henhouse, fairly new at that time. Just a haven of rest after the heat of the day. I see from many posts that the son of the house has continued to charm everyone.

Outhouse? There was an outhouse when you visited? When we stayed there you had to go across the road and, hidden in the vegetation, was an open platform with a square hole. It wasn't much different from the "deserted" spots along the way except this place had a target. One of my best Camino memories from my first Camino was staying at Manjarín.
No electricity. No running water. Outhouse. Scary looking sheets/pillowcases.
Well, I was being polite. lol!Outhouse? There was an outhouse when you visited? When we stayed there you had to go across the road and, hidden in the vegetation, was an open platform with a square hole. It wasn't much different from the "deserted" spots along the way except this place had a target.
Anyway, a more typical shot of Manjarín:

I think this was after Boadilla. We set off and when the mist lifted we realised the sun was not in the right place... !!! About turn.
We also have great memories of this Albergue in Zubiri, we stayed there in 2014 and had planned to stay again last year, hopefully we will sometime in the future!Great memories of this Albergues just across Puenta la Rabia in Zubiri. Had a very rough, snowy and icy walk entirely on the road from Roncesvalles. When I rung the door bell and the Hospi opened it, he took one look at me and grabbed my pack and carried it (while half dragging me) up to the accommodation floor. Verrry good sleep that night

Me too! The white noise from the river outside perfectly covered the noise from snorers too.We also have great memories of this Albergue in Zubiri, we stayed there in 2014 and had planned to stay again last year, hopefully we will sometime in the future!
Snap! I have begun to put the photo for the next day on my desktop at night... see what has happened!View attachment 93623
The Canal de Castilla, on the outskirts of Frómista.
One of the grander water features on the Camino.
I really liked the signs on the VdB, all you need to know as you come into villages along the way.
On the Portuguese Camino. Notice the blue "artwork" on the right side.

The midday service on September 23rd, 2018. I don't even have to look it up.
Feb 2013 for me. Walked straight into the Cathedral from the Camino, backpack and all. Plus, in February, there were lots of good seats at noon massYes. Somewhere in May 2011. When you were still allowed with your backpack in the cathedral.
Not the exact same angle but you can see the growth in the first tree after the monument. How is this now? photo is from July 2006.
