Is it possible to contact a contributor by email or whats app (or by mobile as we both live in Australia).
I am planning another Camino in 2026 and am interested in the Torres and would like to contact DenmanMurphy privately
for more information. They have just finished the Torres and it would be wonderful to talk to them about their experience.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Yes, that's how you do it. However, brand new members need to have made at least 5 posts on the forum before they can send private messages. (this doesn't apply to @Gailerart who already has enough posts)
It's an anti spam measure after the forum was hit by a spammer sending lewd private messages several months ago.

Can I just put in a plug for starting a thread in the forum, so that all members can participate and see what @Denmanmurphy has to say? In addition to @Denmanmurphy, other forum members who have walked the Torres recently include @Charrito, me, @jungleboy, and most recently @gracethepilgrim, who got to Santiago last week. One more member, @David Tallan, is about to set off on the Torres in a week or so.

I know that PMs are also an important part of this forum community, but when you are looking for general info on slightly obscure routes, it is so helpful to all of us to have the information public on the forum.

The Torres is a wonderful route, and in combination with the Geira from Braga is is exceptional!

I thought because we're both from Australia, and just a phone call away, I could have an in depth discussion of their experience which would help me make my decision. I have lots of options I know, but as it will be my last Camino (I'm 73 and Australia is a long way from Europe)) it needs to be the right one for me I hiked the Invierno, Muxia-Finisterre, San Salvador and Primitivo this year and the Primitivo last year and loved every day, rain, mud and shine, so I know I'll enjoy whichever I decide. I loved the solitary nature of the Invierno and I'm after that again with a distance of between 500-600 km. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks peregrina 2000 for your interest

Please understand, I’m not trying to discourage these wonderful forum contacts — I have made more than a dozen close personal friends, probably closer to two dozen, from this website and from my private messages with them over the years. I’m just saying that I hope you will post a thread as well, because there are others who will love to give their two cents and we don’t get many chances to talk about the Torres/Geira!

I walked the Torres/Geira solo in 2022 as a 72 year old woman, and loved every minute. Based on the caminos you’ve walked, I have no doubt you will as well.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

I will start a thread when i have more information and hopefully made a decision as to which Camino or combo I decide on. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
