    I guess some of us were attempting to be helpful and not assuming that everyone is a native English speaker or a spell checker. I guess this was an unfortunate waste of time. Tick borne diseases are a serious problem.

    Ticks in the USA carry a host of nasty diseases, viruses, etc. Nothing like ebola, but Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever and a virus called alpha gal which makes you allergic to mammal protein. I live in Virginia and it has been a particularly bad year for ticks.

    Beautiful animal and encouraging to see they still exist there. I live in the Blue Ridge mountains in Virginia and we have plenty of black bears as neighbors. They're good neighbors and only become a problem when humans get careless with food.

    I wore Hoka trail runners which were not waterproof. The were inundated in the great flood in Pamplona last September and a few other days.     Should I replace my Hokas now?

    You can buy new liners and maybe even take an extra with you. I started the CF last fall and had similar wear in my liners by the time I got to Burgos. I replaced them at a local sporting goods shop and finished my Camino with no further problems. Good luck and Buen Camino

    I took the ALSA bus and met pilgrims whom I would see off and on over my entire Camino Frances. It's a great place to meet your pilgrim cohort. Buen Camino

    Plantar Fasciitis

    Maybe check with a podiatrist. I tried to self treat plantar fasciitis for a year. I went to a podiatrist that told me that the fat pad on my heel was gone. She prescribed Hokas. I walked the CF last fall with no pain. Buen Camino

    Best tape to prevent blisters

    Vaseline is a great preventative measure, as are merino wool socks. I got a minor blister after about 300 km and after I ran out Vaseline. Keeping your feet dry and lubricated will help you avoid blisters. Compeed and other products are readily available on the Camino Frances.
