I do want to point out that two of my "easy ones" were guessed right away (one even by someone who didn't walk past it) while your "easy one" is still on the board...but I won't because I'm too nice.

Sorry, I didn´t tell the name of the city, nor the place where this stone is, because I do´nt want to be a hated nerd in this forum . I´m starting to look like those bright spark on the Camino we all know and all of us avoid.
I´m only trying to help others giving them some clues.
I think it´s not a good idea for me to post another picture, it could be better that other person doing it, IMHO. Maybe you, would do it again, Rick.

I think I may be more difficult than intended. I'll pass on posting the next picture. I have more fun trying to find the location of the posted pictures anyway. Maybe @Smallest_Sparrow should post. She may want revenge.

Our Oceania cousins have had a chance to come up with their guesses and I see nothing so, as I mentioned earlier, @Pingüigrino gets the win on this.

My picture is of the left column of the entryway to the Basilica Nuestra Senora de la Encina and the column is facing the Plaza Virgen de la Encina in Ponferrada (coordinates near: 42.544678,-6.592227). It is not far from the castle of the Templar Knights.

I tried to find a matching image with a location attached to it. Other than a reverse image search I'm at a loss. It looks like others are too. I don't think a hint would help me but it may help others.

Come on all of you Frances people, think...it must be between SJPdP and Muxia...to me it looks like the interior of an albergue. I don't think it is one run by nuns/monks, but I suppose it could be parochial. It has yellow walls and to me it looks like a wood porch cover outside. Foncebadon (Domus Dei) had yellow walls and a porch when I walked but I don't recall that collection of crucifixes and rosaries...but I learned my memory isn't good with @Rick of Rick and Peg's picture.

In fairness to everyone else, @Rick of Rick and Peg has correctly ID'ed the general location for everyone, but not the specific one. Very quickly (impressively, scary NSA quality) he knew this was near Montserrat (the pictures attached are already id'd, not part of the game)...so that makes this the Cami de Sant Jaume. He still has not correctly identified the picture I posted as part of the game, however. It should be easy from here...

This is a view of Sant Joan and the ruins of hermitages carved into the mountain Sant Jeroni, walking the Cami de Sant Michel and Jacob’s stairway (I'd probably have to carry you down). BTW, I loved the small but impressive museum at the abbey.

If you look carefully, you will see that the door is open. The Camino runs right past this door. Pilgrims are invited to enter and pray or meditate. The owner is English. When he acquired the building it was a disused barn. He lives in the lower level.

Around 8:38, we passed a hermitage. Unlike last year, it was closed this time.

The hermitage is now occupied by a watercolor artist Englishman Arthur who undertook the Camino in 2006 from St Jean Pied de Port. He chose the Samos variant, although he gave in to the charm of this area and decided to settle here in the fall of that year. With the help of a local mason, he reconstructed the ruin of an old stone house into “a house for Jesus.” Many of his paintings hang on the walls. The doors are usually wide open to pilgrims offering a place to rest and pray. If his doors are closed, Arthur is probably on a trip to the coast of Lugo.

It was the art work on the walls that kept making me think this was a private home...and when @AJ said the person lived below and kept the doors open above I thought "either this person doesn't realize there are pilgrims armed with sharpies about, or he is displaying his own work. I also knew it had to be between the last city I'd passed through when I left the Frances (Ponferrada) and when I rejoined it in Melide. I hope AJ can tell his last name, I'd like to see if I can find some of his work.
OK, if we can accept @Rick of Rick and Peg, I will start getting a new picture ready.

Good guess but sorry, no. This little chapel is probably half the size of Santa Maria.

Some new clues...the ship ex-voto near the altar hints this is from the Norte, and a very famous sailor left much of his money in his will toward the upkeep of two churches...this was one of them (though of course by now the money has already been spent)

My first thought was Naverette but I'm not seeing the solitary tree on a plaza. I think the tree is to the east of the meseta though.

Does the NSA know you are repositioning their satellites to play this game?

I agree the church on the map is wrong, and in the street view the tree in on the grade rising above not in a plaza.

Spooky that you always have an overhead view ...you're not a bored angel, are you? Can you see me umm, waving my hand right now?
