Summer 2022 Camino Frances
Hello! I walked the Camino Frances last summer and was so inspired by the communal aspect of being a pilgrim that I decided to incorporate it into my graduate work. I am currently working on my Master's of Social Work and doing a community assessment of women and non-binary pilgrims on the Camino, specifically focused on feelings of safety and comfort levels. I am hoping to expand my focus group to include men in a different part of the project but right now what I am looking for are just a few women or non-binary folks who have walked any part of the Camino (preferably Frances but does not have to be) who are willing to answer a few questions about their experience in terms of safety and comfort levels on the trail. I have a questionnaire already created that I can send for you to fill out at your leisure. I am hoping to have 3-5 filled out and sent back to me within the next week. Answers can remain anonymous! I won't be putting names in my assessment. Let me know if you are interested!

I’m happy to help! Feel free to DM me.
Hi! I'm new here and tried to go to your profile to DM you but I think you must be on private? It might be easier to DM me and I'll shoot ya the questions. Sorry if I'm just missing something obvious...

Yep, I've seen others send me the same screenshot but for some reason for me, it only offers to Follow or Ignore. There is not an option for Start Conversation. I had one of the moderators helping me a bit ago. When I click on the profile itself it says Oops something went wrong and that the profile might limit who can view.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Hola EliseJo,
I THINK I just DM-ed you - actually, I "started a conversation" with you to let you know I'm happy to participate. Let me know if you didn't get the message and I'll try again. Cheers, Anna

What is a non-binary person?

I thought this was a forum for help and advice for all on their Camino’s
Not for gender discussion

There are genders on the Camino. A pilgrim is not an amoeba.
Now, if this subject does not interest you , you can always unwatch the thread or ignore the OP.

To @EliseJo : good luck with your survey and interviews.
Greetings from a fellow social worker.

Hi Everyone, thank you so much for those of you that have been supportive and willing to participate! In response to some of the criticism on this thread I just want to say that
1. I did get moderator approval to post this here
2. I in no way intended to start a discussion on gender so if the population of my study confuses you and you don't identify with either distinction feel free to move on:)
3. I am working on getting the questions out to those who responded but if you commented or DM'd me and don't get a reply that's because I've reached the number of participants needed. I would LOVE to have more but since my assignment is due soon and I have to go through all the responses I can only do so much. Once I get enough responses I will request this thread be closed.

What is a non-binary person?
A non-binary person is someone who does not identify as exclusively a man or woman. They might identify as some of both, as neither, or as gender fluid.

Let's not get into a discussion of gender identities, please. It is off-topic and liable to get the thread locked.

Good Luck with your research! Glad that the thread was not closed down too!

I think that’s what our good friend @sprinto suggested some time ago

Meanwhile back on the forum- I weigh 350lbs. Can anyone suggest what I can add to my packing list to get me up to the 10% rule?
Perhaps carry the weight of the world on your shoulders, that weight is open to debate.
