Hello,

I am going on my first Camino at the end of May. I am flying into Lisbon from San Francisco. arriving late at night. I am looking for lodging near the airport and then for the next night in Porto. Would like to stay near the start of the Camino. Looking for a single room.

Thank you for any suggestions

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

This past spring, we stayed at the Passenger Hostel in Porto. It’s located right inside the Sao Bento Terminal. Modern, clean, comfortable with a nice breakfast. They offer both private rooms and dorm beds. It’s just a short walk to the cathedral where you can begin your Camino by walking along the Douro River to the coast.

Too many to count!
@cardozohughes, there are many accommodations close to the Porto airport. You can look at my map on my website to see them, for my day fifteen (on the Central route). There is only one inexpensive option, a bit farther out, about a one km walk, the AirPorto Hostel, a dormitory. It is 22 euros/bed. I haven't stayed there, but it looks nice!

Is this AirPorto Hostel the same as the Passenger Hostel at the San Bento Terminal?
No. The AirPorto Hostel is near the airport. The Passenger Hostel is in town in the Sao Bento train station.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

The Passenger is very popular.
I would respectfully suggest that you book in advance.

I stayed in a lovely hotel in Matosinhos, perhaps a km from the Caminho. Several other travelers there also. I think Godinho was in the name.
