Hi Ivar,

Do we have had all the snow yet? Or is there more to come? :D
While I begin at Leon at May 4th I'm very interested in weather conditions. I read some of the stories of people w2ho are NOW walking and I used some of these internet sites:

http://uk.weather.com/weather/local/SPXX0192
and
http://www.weeronline.nl/Spanje.htm

They give me both a different story....so....how is the weather in N-Spain esp. along the Camino Frances ?
Can you give us an update?

Thanks,

paul

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
So I have now become the weather man !? !? :)

Well, I saw the weather report on TVE1 last night, and there was no mention of snow in higher elevation in northern Spain for the next 3 days. I would think that you should be ok in regards to the snow after May 4th, but you never know.

Have a look here:
http://www.santiago-today.com/santiago_ ... ?art_id=39

... and you will see that in Santiago the average minimums temperature in May is 8,1c (with 14 days of rain). This is in Santiago, so the higher elevations is another story, but I doubt any snow that late in the year.

Greetings from rainy, then sunny, then rainy again Santiago,
Ivar

seems to have become quite hot. Logrono is registering 30C at the moment, Zamora 32. SW France too; Mt-de-Marsan in the Landes is almost 30C. That's too hot for walking IMO! Snow on the Pyrenees is vanishing fast; not much left at Candanchu by the looks of it.

[perhaps you should start a separate section for weather discussions, Ivar!]

Good idea Peter.... here is the new Weather section..

Today has been very warm. Just a few days ago and we had 13-14c with some wind, rather chilly. Today not a wind gust and sun from a clear sky. My car showed 27,5c today... with the humidity, it was quite warm. (Remember this is a Norwegian talking) :D

Will meet our member "Pilgrim" for dinner tonight, he called me last night and had only a 13km walk into Santiago left.

I will bring my camera, and with permission, I will post some pictures on the board tomorrow.

Greetings from a sizzling Santiago,
Ivar
