Interesting article on the Camino Lebaniego where Cantabria are receiving 1.4m euros towards the Camino. Seems it is part of a Euro 64m project across Spain, France and Portugal.

Edit due to more news for the Vadniniense. Plans to put out to tender and re-open the municiple Albergue in Cistierna by this summer (hope they paint it).

From the Consistory they have collected complaints that regretted the lack of a hostel available in this area of the Leonese Eastern Mountain through which the Vadiniense Route and the Forgotten Way cross, two of the oldest Jacobean routes to Santiago de Compostela.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

I was on the Lebaniego last fall and the signage was absolutely fantastic in both directions. It was the Holy Year so a big effort was put in. I'm not sure if the Holy Year extends into this year but the signage should still be good. After the Lebaniego the Vadiniense is nowhere near as well-signed but the various mapping apps kept me on the right path.

Well they recently had the ceremony to close Puerta del PerdĂłn in the Monastery of Santo Toribio, and apparently, the end of the holy year which they also seem to refer to as the Lebaniego Jubilee Year.

An amazingly beautiful part of the world which captured my heart many years ago.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
