Too many and too often!
A Burgos website has reported that a small astronomy observation space is being created at the San Anton albergue - a raised platform with tripod-mounted binoculars, a telescope and planispheres to guide the viewers.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I'm not quite sure what to make of this.. I loved the calm and rustic simplicity of San Anton. We didn't need viewing platforms, tripods and laser pointers to enjoy the night sky..

There will also be six outdoor sleeping pads to sleep outdoors and enjoy the Milky Way.
For people who don't live in dark sky areas or don't have easy access, this would be ideal for watching the Perseid meteor shower in August. 2023 will be a good year for seeing Perseids as the moon will only be 10% illuminated.

Oh, and you could watch the Milky Way all night and ponder about the advice to follow it to reach Santiago de Compostela ... 🤭

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

The most spectacular star display I've ever seen was when camping in a national park in Australia. The Milky Way was a massive band of stars right overhead. I had serious doubts that following it would take me to Galicia! :)

I liked it a lot too. But not many of us stayed there - the hoardes streamed by on their way to Castrjerez. It said in one of the links that this was to encourage people to stop.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
Sounds like an April fool's joke to me? They will have to make sure no masonry drops on visitor's heads? I was almost killed by falling rocks in 2016.

my favorite night of star gazing was in the middle of the night on the meseta somewhere. the milky way stretching along the way was majestic. i recommend getting up QUIETLY in the middle of the night some time, having prepared your stuff prior to going to bed, sneak outside and just lie down on the path and look up. the meseta is perfect as it’s flat and easy walking in the dark. amazing!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
