Looking for PERSONAL EXPERIENCE recommendations for a place to stay in Ponte de Lima. It's going to be a l-o-n-g day of walking. Thinking NOT a snoring-pilgrim-bunkbed scene. But not a snazzy hotel, either. And yes, I have ALL the apps! Wondering where you have stayed that was clean and quiet. Many thanks!

Hi. I stayed in this quiet and very decent hotel. I too was not keen to sleep in the albergue that night.
Situation of the hotel is close enough to the old centre if you want to have a stroll.
I did not use the spa. Breakfast was very decent.
Of course everyone's idea about how " snazzy" something is, can be different.
Clean and quiet.

Casa da Travassa has comfortable rooms, a communal kitchen and small dining area and laundry facilities in a quiet location close to the camino. Enjoyed my stay there in May.

Join Camino Cleanup: Logroño to Burgos May 2025 and Astorga to O'Cebreiro in June.
Do not stay at Blue House as it is above a nightclub. Very nice looking pics on booking.com but in the fine print it says above a bar. I did not see the fine print. Had to knock myself out with two sleeping pills.

Pricey is a relative term, but if you want a friendly, well-run family hotel with a great view of the Roman bridge, we can recommend Arc My Otel: https://twoclinestraveling.wordpress.com/2023/02/08/ponte-de-lima-a-city-you-cant-forget-2022/
Ponte de Lima is also a great place to hang around for a bit if you need a break.

Pricey but I very much needed a place like this.

Graciosa Guest House

I stayed here a few weeks ago and would recommend it. It was my one night in a private room. I think I paid around €35 for a double room.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

I stayed w a friend at Teraza da Vila where we had a clean, decent room for €40. Good location.
