Thank you very much for your replyThis is one of the sport shops that will carry ponchos. I would imagine a budget of up to 50. Euro will cover it. The cost would depend on the quality and brand that you choose.

Currently on the Camino buy before you go. Very limited availabilityof anything in SJPDPwondering what the availability of ponchos is like in sjpd? and approx how much do they cost to purchase there.
thank you
Thank you very much for your feed back I have actually order one from amazonYou might want to try online first (although you may have considered it already). I purchased my Ferrino poncho online. When I got to SJPDP I stopped at the store (which is a very good store, with very good service, but really retail prices), it was much more expensive. Not complaining about the store. They carry a lot of stuff and you pay for the convenience and selection. But a few bucks (euros) pay for a couple of meals
My 2 cents would be to purchase as much as possible online and then use the store to pick up what you forgot to bring (there is always something).

thank youAs an FYI, there is a great sports store in Pamplona called Caminoteca (very pilgrim friendly) that (used to) stock the Spanish Altus brand poncho. Not sure if they still do. . . .anyone ??
Thank youYou can order in advance from the boutique du pelerin and pay when you collect, as I did.. The shop is just a few yards across from the Pilgrims Office and the owner is very helpful.
Bought mine from a farmers shop somewhere on the Frances about 7 years ago. It cost 10 euros! )
If you go onto their website you can now walk around the shop in Google! As an FYI, there is a great sports store in Pamplona called Caminoteca (very pilgrim friendly) that (used to) stock the Spanish Altus brand poncho. Not sure if they still do. . . .anyone ??
