2019 C. Portuguese (inland).
I’ll be landing in Paris 8 May before heading to Lectoure a few days later to continue my walk along the GR65 Le Puy Chemin. I hope to finish in Santiago.
Does anyone know if there is pilgrim accommodation in Paris?
Just curios to know.

PS. I usually stay in Airbnb but it would be good to be with fellow pilgrims if possible.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
I haven't stayed there (yet) but it was recommended.

There are others, I just like the location of this one!

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
I stayed here in Sept 2022. Not far from the Champs Elysees Metro. I had a very nice private room, good breakfast, pleasant folks at the front desk!
Buen Camino!

After 40 years a visitor to Paris, only 15 as pilgrim, I may state that in my opinion the very best option for a pilgrim is the "Adveniat". Great accommodation including Individual rooms if so required, a quiet peaceful atmosphere, great staff, and perhaps most importantly, the lovely garden out the back.
Go on, pop Adveniat Paris in your search engine.
Regards and peace in Paris.

If you want a youth hostel with small shared rooms Saint Christopher's inn Paris Canal is in a quiet pleasant area, almost a village, but central and close to metro, bus, and public bike hire.

Many thanks Barbara. I’m quite comfortable with shared rooms and I’ll check it out. It looks like generally there’s a few options. I had no idea. That’s great. 🙏

Be sure to get the Myam Myam Dodo for your GR.

Thank you drgalvin! I am using the Michelin Guide Book for the GR65. It too is excellent. I got it at the start, in Le Puy, this April, 2024. The Dodo series too is excellent, I agree.
I’m returning to Lectoure to continue my camino where I left off in May this year. I’ll have a short stay in Paris before heading down to Lectoure.
Thank you!

re: St.Chirstophers - my nephew LOVE LOVES it! He is not a Pilgrim and he is not a backpacker, but from the 1st time he set his foot in Paris - thats where he stays.
Its a good place (IMHO) if one IS hanging around Paris - short walk from Gare du Nord (so easy access to CdG on RER B), plenty of Metro stops around, just as enough eateries and heck very short walks to many of Paris' landmarks....
I probably would NOT pick it for Camino starter esp. if one is looking to get to SJPdP and start CF. Granted - of course anyone can get to Gare du Montparnasse from anywhere but...why complicate your life? I'd look for something closer to that station and just walk in the morning.
If one wants to actually START from Paris (say Notre Dame or Tour de St Jaques) then by all means
Just my opinion
