Ajda - that one phrase speaks to all of us. Enjoy the anticipation and the reality.
Buen Camino when it comes
Arn said:Ajda...welcome to the Forum!
I'm sure the excitement of your first Camino is building and you may have many questions.
May I suggest that you take a look at two topics: (1) FAQ and (2) Class of 2009.
In the first there is a raft of info on many aspects of the Camino and the second will give you an idea of who will be walking the Way at the same time as you.
In addition, you can enter a search word or phrase in the top right hand corner of this page and find loads of good info on specific topics.
Buen Camino,
Arn

Deirdre said:Congratulations! July 16 is wonderful! All the crowds and bulls will be gone and Pamplona will be clean and beautiful. And the walk from Roncesvalles is lovely. Be sure to attend the Pilgrim Mass in Roncesvalles. I started on that date two years ago.
Don't worry about being alone. You wil meet many pilgrims and you clearly have enough english to speak to many of them. There are pilgrims from all countries and all languages - we all manage to communicate! Perhaps consider a small, lightweight Spanish dictionary to carry with you.
I'm sure you will find the answers to all your questions here, and if not, just ask! I expect that I shall be walking in July/Aug as well... I just don't know where yet. I'm still thinking about that one!
Buen Camino,
