Time of past OR future Camino
Levante, Fisterra, half Levante...
Twice this afternoon an alarm sounded in all cellular telephones here in Valencia, inviting us to keep at home.

After severe raining during a few days we had this afternoon a maximum with flooding and tornados.

Our way of Levante is impassable in Algemesi, Carcaixent, Cogullada, La Pobla LLarga and Manuel.

Problems with trains, roads, bridges, broken trees.

Do not start pilgrimages in Valencia until clearance.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

storm Dana. the images and videos are a nightmare

This is what happens when DANA moves into the landmass from the warm sea or ocean. DANA is not actually a proper name for this severe storm (as hurricanes are named), but an acronym for a meteorological phenomenon of recent years linked to climate change: Depresión Aislada en Niveles Altos.

There was another Dana in early October that moved from the Mediterranean along the Pyrenees, but fortunately nothing bad happened. I think one forum member here expressed concern about the safety of pilgrims walking the Route Napoleon, but if I remember well, the poor sucker got laughed at for overreacting. Well, you don't know with DANAs, just like with hurricanes in Florida. For instance Milton turned out to be much weaker than expected, while Kathrina surprisingly grew in power and kicked everyone's ass.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
