I've searched fairly thoroughly but haven't been able to find a list of alburgues on the Camino Frances where one is allowed to camp in the grounds. Has anyone ever compiled a definitive list, please?

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
If there is such a list I've never seen it, but it is a good idea - maybe you can compile one when you are walking the Camino?
As you know many albergues are in towns (with no grounds) and some, like the one I worked in has a huge playground in front but does not allow camping.

In my book I list all the Camp Sites on the Camino Frances and a few villages where wild camping is allowed:

Wild camping is legal in Spain but with some restrictions. You are not allowed to camp:
• In any urban area (these areas are prohibited for military or tourist reasons)
• Within 1 km of an official campsite
• On tourist beaches
• In the ‘Parques Naturales’

If you are sensible and ‘wild camp’ close to these areas have some sensitivity to the rules and you can camp almost anywhere in the countryside. It is illegal, however, to make fires so unless you have a camping stove, rather wait until you get to a café-bar for your daily fix of café-con-leche

RABANAL DEL CAMINO:
Wild camping possible in a field at Rabanal or the open area just beyond the village: No facilities

O’CEBREIRO:
Wild camping is possible in field at the back of the village.

SARRIA:
Wild camping possible on the banks of the river – access from Pont Riberio.

That's a really good idea. If anyone has any that they know of already to start the list, that'd be good. It would be useful to include any private accommodations which are happy to host campers too. Watch this space...... If we make it from Le Puy, will give it a try.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
