Le Puy Route Certificate?

I am planning my next camino to be the Le Puy Route finishing in SJPDP. Do I receive a certificate in SJPDP or are they only given on completion in Santiago? I did receive one in Finisterre in October.
Thanks for any information.

Train for your next Camino (or keep the Camino spirit alive) on Santa Catalina Island
@Rossco , hi

I started at Le Puy in April 2016 and arrived at St-Jean on 1 May.

I met several French nationals whose end point (that year at least) was St-Jean and hear no talk of a certificate from them.

Because my focus was to continue on towards SdC I didn't think to ask at the pilgrims office.

This is the link http://www.aucoeurduchemin.org/ for the pilgrims office.

Kia kaha (take care, be strong, get going)

You will get joy in getting to half way and nothing else mate as StJPP is only one of many and not the original stopover from people who commence from their villages and homes throughout Europe , mainly France , Switzerland and Italy .

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

A certificate is issued for completing a pilgrimage - i.e. reaching the tomb of St Jean. Minimum distance is 100km walking (180km cycling I think).

There used to be one for Rocamadour also, in case you take this very special variant, not sure if they only issued it for their own holy year or still do it. Buen Camino, SY

Hi Rossco
No certificate from St Jean. I have walked from Le Puy also and as a volunteer in the pilgrims office in St Jean I can assure you there is no certificate. I understand However I agree it would be nice to have something other than the stamps in the pilgrims passport.

We biked from Paris to Moulins, then hiked from Le Puy to SJPdP, and the only thing the volunteer at the pilgrim's office gave us was a disappointed look when he learned we were stopping there instead of continuing after a mere 800 miles.

I have already hiked the Camino Frances, starting in SJPdP and Camino Portuguese, staring in Lisbon. I am currently planning on hiking the Le Puy section to SJPdP. I am hoping to re-hike to Finisterre after a brief visit to Santiago. Is It possiblt to get a Certificate of Mileage in Santiago for the Le Puy hike? I understand there is no Compostela for just that section as is not ending in Santiago.
