I am curious as to how many pilgrims received a compostela or distance certificate on the day I completed my most recent camino. Is there a way to search on what has been issued by date?

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Interesting, didn’t know that was available - thank you both. (For question and answer!)
Typical - I wanted a quiet , short Camino so had opted the Ingles in April. Didn’t know 1/ about Semana Santa, so I shared the Ingles with a LOT of Spaniards and 2/ - I arrived on the 7/4, which I now see was the busiest day of the year to date!!!
And I had an absolute blast 💥. Fantastic weather, wonderful, wonderful people.

I didn’t get what I wanted, but I DID get what I needed - as ever, the Camino provides…..

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
You can find the daily figure on this website. Click at the appropriate point on the daily arrivals graph.

Bradypus...wow quite an impressive set of graphs...well done! I also dabble at a much junior level in some graphs...just for fun. I thought given your knowledge you might be able to shed some light on 2023 numbers which...unless I am missing something...have to be incorrect.

Total number of pilgrims Jan - Jun 2023 176,250 when looking at the first table Camino Routes...ok seems reasonable.

Mujer/Hombre table below Jan - Jun 2023 113,729 Months of April 25,422, May 26,551 and June 45,366 are quite far off the numbers in the Camino Routes numbers April 40,877, May 60,882 and June 58,100.

Distribution by age - same picture.

I checked 2022 Jan to June and theTotal number of pilgrims, Mujer/Hombere and Distribution by age are all consistent.

Questions

1) Are you aware of why these discrepancies exist OR is it something that I am interpreting incorrectly?

2) In compiling the numbers for your many graphs did you manually scrape the data from the Office website OR is it possible to download CSV files?

Thanks for any info you can provide on this.

Hi Guy,

I'm checking the stats as it is true that there is some inconsistency as you mention. There seems to be some consolidation process of the numbers in the Pilgrim's Office but I am also detecting them in your own website.

Let me check it out and I will get back to you with more information.

Thanks for pointing it out!
