Quick question. As I have not watched my favorite Christmas movie "Love Actually" in a few years, (will watch it this year) I do not remember if you all over in merry old England prefer to say Happy Christmas instead of the way we say it in your former colony, Merry Christmas, or it is your personal preference or what's the story haha. Just wondering. It is good my life is pretty happy right now that I can reflect on a profound subject like this one.
And not being of the Christian faith my I wish you a Happy Hanukkah. I hope you have your dreidel ready and win lots of chocolate coins.

Happy Xmas and Merry Xmas are pretty much used interchangeably verbally I would say in UK, with no real preference for either. I think shops go with ‘Merry Xmas’.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Ohhh ... I loathe 'xmas' ! - agree, in England happy and merry ... I say 'merry' generally and 'happy' to friends.

What is Never said is "Happy Holidays"- Never!!😂😂

@It56ny - aww, but surely you can celebrate the birth of probably the most famous Jew? .. even if it didn't take place on December 25th, or in Bethlehem, nor during a Roman census, nor with shepherds in the fields (flocks not out in the fields in winter), nor with shepherds as witnesses as they were considered so dishonest shepherds were banned from giving evidence in court, nor with a star overhead - Bethlehem is only a few miles from Jerusalem and can be seen clearly from higher ground, so a bright light hanging over a stable would have had thousands high-tailing it over there, and did not produce a massacre of the innocents (shall I go on?) and I have always wondered why, if Joseph was going to his home town where he grew up for the census why he didn't stay with relatives ...

no .. the Christmas story is symbolic of light coming into the world, light entering a dark world, and worth celebrating for that I think.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
In the US we say "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year"!
A big "Like"👍 to all of the Christmas greetings on this thread and a thank you🙏 to @David for starting it and sending that beautiful AI generated photo!🙂
