I am heading on my El Camino this year and would like to learn more about the regions covered by the Camino Portugués. I plan to walk mainly along the Coastal and Litoral routes, with a potential detour into the Camino Central if time allows. While there are plenty of tips and insights available about these routes, I’ve already found most of the practical information I need for the walk itself. Now, I’m focusing on finding books to learn more about the regions, towns, and historical facts related to the places I’ll pass through during my journey. The books don’t necessarily need to be directly related to the Camino itself but should help me explore the history, culture, and identity of these regions.
Thank you in advance for any recommendations!
P.S. I’ve already come across the following titles. Has anyone read them? If so, which one would you recommend for a brief introduction to the history?
