Camino Frances (planned for April 2024)
Hi everyone,

I visited Santiago de Compostela as a tourist many years ago (back in 2013). Next month, I'll be walking the Camino Francés from Ponferrada.

I was wondering if Tienda Rosario Rey, a jewelry store, is still open. If anyone knows if it's still operating or has closed permanently, I'd really appreciate the information.

Buen camino!

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
Unfortunately it’s closed or it was when we were there in 2022. At that time they had a small shop window to try and sell the rest of their goods and then it was finishing. Very limited stock of both jewelry and tshirts. That was our experience in 2022. None of their previous shops were open. COVID seems to have taken it’s toll!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I too was rather sad to see the shops closed but I believe I found a worthy alternative last year.
At Rua do Vilar called Peregrina a Compostela.
No website , only Instagram.
Products made by local artists. Quality T Shirts.
No plastic to be seen 😉.

Thank you Sabs. We will check it out in July this year when we hope to arrive in Santiago!😊 😉

I was disappointed to see that it was no longer there last year when I was in Santiago. I have always loved their designs - not the same as in every other store in Santiago!

Hello, I'm not doing the Camino (yet), so I don't know if this question fits in this forum... But I'm looking for advice and I think this is the best place. I'm planning a three or four days trip...
I haven't done a live feed on this last section of my camino from home in Ireland which I started back in 2021 - but quire excited to reach SdeC tomorrow on 6th June!
