Custom 3D printed orthotic insoles

I came across this site and wondered if anybody has ordered and used custom made 3D printed orthotics insoles?

Are they a good substitute for traditionally made orthotics?

This looks amazing. Actually, it looks a lot like a high tech version of how I get my orthotics made now. Since I switched over to my life-saving silicone orthotics, the orthotics are prepared based on my stepping into a big chunk of squishy material that creates a mold of my foot as it strikes the ground.

Any idea what the prices are? I hunted around a bit and couldn't see that information. Thanks, jirit, buen camino, Laurie

I believe they sell for $199 per pair which is considerable cheaper than traditionally made versions ( $300-500)

I have a pair of regular, hard, custom made orthotics, but still got plantar fasciitis on the Norte. Podiatrist cecommend these: www.vasilymedical.com, the Dananberg model. 50$ Canadian. They are supple and have tabs you can use to adjust them, you can also mold them to your feet with a heat source (blowdryer, I think). I jusr wear mine as they are. Vasily has a lot more models, but I know nothing about them. On the Camino I wear hard ones in the am, and at linch switch to the Danabergs. Now, if only I remembered where I stached the hard ones for my next Camino ...
