Primitivo 2022 Do Mar 2024 Ingles 2024 Finesterre
Greetings and Buen Camino,
I am planning to walk the Camino do Mar, Ingles and then onto Finesterre / Muxia in the fall of 2024. I am looking on line on the best way to to get to Ribadeo. I see the possibility of a bus from Oviedo and thought there would also be a bus from A Coruna but ALSA does not seem to have one on line. Then I searched from Santiago to Ribadeo found a bus from there through A Coruna to Ribadeo. In short is there a bus from A Coruna to Ribadeo and is there any way to get a schedule so I can plan accordingly.
TIA for your assistance and Buen Camino

As @JCLima has said Fall 2024 is way to far ahead for schedules to be published. That said timetables don't change much so searching transport options for next week, weekday and weekends separately will give you a clue. A Coruna to Ribadeo the most viable public transport option is likely train / bus to Ferrol and then the FEVE railway to Ribadeo. Or try breaking your search down a bit. Ferrol is a transport hub so search A Coruna to Ferrol, Ferrol to Ribadeo.

Happy planning

As above. You can take the (slow) train from Ferrol to Ribadeo. Lovely peaceful journey. Peaceful as there is no one on it for many stops. You can bus, train, walk from A Coruna to Ferrol.

Hi, I see that you will walk the Camino del Mar. After 4 other Caminos I am now pre-planning it for spring 2025. Did yo already walk the C. del Mar? How is the situation with albuerges/hostels etc? I see that in there is a well known good hostel Oli Vita in Viveiro. I understood that several peregrinos take a train from where they end that day to Viveiro. Next day they take train back to where they finished the previous day. Do yo know the train company who runs this line and the current train schedule?

Thanks in advance

It’s the FEVE train. If you go to Renfe site and say do a search Ferrol to Ribadeo you will be able to see the 70 or stations between the two including Viviero. It stops every two mins in all sorts of remote places! . It links up most to the north coast of Spain, it goes east far beyond Ribadeo) is cheap and beautiful. There are about 4 a day, in either direction, though this may vary, many are request stops.

I am not familiar with that Camino but logic of using Viveiro to sleep and catching FEVE makes perfect sense!
