Well, this has been lovely, and enlightening. I'm on the way with a loose bunch of about 8 peregrinos. We are doing the usual meetings enroute over coffee and such and assembling in albergues at night. At Hontanos Albergue / Meson Puntido "abrir todos ano" was shut. The municipal "closed in winter" was open, warm and welcoming. The wood chip stove blazing. Note, not the main municipal but the annexe that abuts the church. Access via bar El Descanso opposite. In Boadilla Putzu is open, the owner lives up to his reputation for eccentricity and will deny that Titas is also open. It is worth the risk to walk through town and try the door, they seem not to switch the lights on unless there are customers. Supper wasn't the greatest but the warm bunkroom and the crispy clean sheets and towel made up for it. Tonight we are with the Nonas of Espiritu Santo in Carrion and all feel very happy with our lot.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Hi Wayfarer. Kindly so far but its much colder tonight and forecasts are for thunder. Easterly wind though so it will chase us down the roman way.

But hey, what are forecasts. Todays was for rain and we saw none. Sunrise along the Canal was exquisite.

Buen camino to all, especially those on the road this season.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Moratinos. Typed with a happy smile. Arrived last night. My happy band of the last few days scattered between Terradillos (Jacque de Molay is open) and who knows where. Their eyes all on Santiago.
My focus has been more earth bound, ditch level. Reb and I have shifted 10+ sacks of detritus today plus a television, a computer and a few other items that probably weren't pilgrim droppings though you never know for sure. I met a guy this week carrying, among other essentials, 1.5k of Steve Jobs' biography. I guess the evenings seem long this time of year but I do hope that book ends up on a shelf and not in a ditch.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Here is a pic from 2016, I love the simplicity of the sketch map and directions "1 km climb up, 5km flat, 5km down". I wonder how the prices are now?
