I see in Brierly that there is a Hotel in Barrantes, Os Castanos. But I can't seem to find a description or any info on it. Has nyone stayed there/. And I was trying to decide whether to walk through Armenteira and stay in Barrantes or stay in Armenteir? My other decision is whether to take the boat ride to Padron or walk. We have plenty of time to walk, but everyone says the boat ride is spectacular. Thoughts? And finally, if we stay at Armenteira...should we stay at the monastary or albergue?

Yes I have been there twice. Yesterday I described the place in another thread

At the end of the ruta de pedras and de augas, a medieval path that begins at the monastry of Armenteira one of two kms further is located bar/restaurant os Castaños. They have rooms for rent.
A Very nice lady runs the place and if you ask her, she phones the guys of the boat at what time it sails and makes a reservation for you
Because of the tide and time of departure we were not able to catch the boat early so she gave us a lift to Vila Nova de Arousa
Os Castańos is highly recommended

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Albertinho, you are right to recommend Os Castanos which is on the Camino.
