Accommodation in Combarro

I am trying to find a place to stay in Combarro on the 26th July. I am walking from porto with my 13 year old son starting tomorrow - taking it slowly! We are planning to do the spiritual variant. Combarro seems very busy the weekend 26/27 but we have to be there on the 26 for it to work. We would like to stay a night before the climb. It is too much from Pontevedra in one go for him. Does anyone have any suggestions of reasonably priced rooms for pilgrims in the town maybe. I don't want to pay £50-70 for a night and that's all I can find at the moment.

Also can anyone advise on the Pilgrim hostal in Armenteira if they have been there recently. Are we likely to find room at the inn on a Friday? Worried about getting there and finding no accommodation. Maybe there is other reasonably priced accommodation there as an alternative.
