Aloha
My Aunty who has been dreaming of Camino Francés for years is finally (somewhat spontaneously) walking starting at SJPDP in mid-September. She has invited me to accompany her partway. I am so honored! Unfortunately, I will only have about 3 days on the trail with her. We will most likely...
Bonjour! I will be departing StJPP on a Sunday morning in mid-August to meet my train at Bayonne at 10h00 and commence my long journey home to the Great South Land. I have made this trip a number of times BUT drawing a blank on options at a reasonable time on a Sunday morning, i.e. 08h30 / 09h00...
I'm arriving in Paris August 13.30 on 28 August, (31 hour flight from Australia). Older woman, travelling solo. Although I'll only have cabin baggage I figure I'll be in CDG for a couple of hours at least. I planned on taking a train to Bayonne, but the timing means that most options arrive post...
I currently have a flight booked to Paris (De Gaulle Airport) from Philadelphia to get to St Jean de Pied du Port. For others that landed in Paris, where do you catch the train to go to St Jean? I’ve looked at a number of searches and I’m getting some contradictory info.
Thx!
Bob
It's a bit embarrassing to ask, but has anyone here experience with a very (!) late night arrival in Bayonne?
I could buy a very cheap ticket to get there which would be my only chance to walk at least a week on the Francés this year, but I would arrive in Bayonne at 1:30 am 😬.
Hotel with 24h...
I am planning to do half the Camino commencing in SJPdP late September 2024. I will be travelling from Australia, planning to fly into Barcelona and having a few days there before travelling to SJPdP. I believe I can get a direct train from Barcelona to Pamplona. Does anyone know the best mode...
We are flying to Dublin first, then transport to Bayonne by Ryanair next weekend June 18th.
There are several hours layover (8:30am - 5:00pm) , so we are planning to go to the town and have a quick tour, then go back to airport in the afternoon. There is fast track pass can be purchased.
My...
Im graduating college next week and am planning on walking the French route starting end of august. What’s the cheapest way to get from New York to SJPDP? I don’t care about getting there the quickest or being uncomfortable, I’m just on a budget so trying to find the cheapest way to end up...
Hi all. Just wondering if I can make it to SJPD the same day I fly into paths at CDG airport. I arrive from Chicago at 10:30am. October 23. CanI fly from CDG to Bayonne, train to SJPD? Or Biarritz? Would you recommend staying overnight in Paris near monteparnesse station? I’d like to start...
Please excuse if already covered. We are looking to get a bus from San Sebastián to Biarritz airport on 25 May. The best option at the moment is Flixbus.
We are unsure of our exact arrival time. Is there a need to pre book our tickets?
Hi all, I've been trying to figure out the best plan for getting from Bordeaux Airport to SJPP. I land at 15:10 on 17th May. I know there are frequent trains to Bayonne, but I'm trying to figure out if I can make it to SJPP by evening time, before everything closes, or if I should book a hostel...
Is there anyone else arriving from Stansted at the same time?
I have no idea how I am going to get to SJPDP and after trying all day cannot find anywhere to stay at SJPDP for a couple of days :)
Any suggestions would be most welcome
P.S can I pick up a Cimino passport in SJPDP?
Would anyone recommend the best way to get to SJP from Paris? Train to Bayonne? Flying in from Chicago on October 23. Possible to get to SJP on same day? Thanks for advice.
Due to your advice on getting reasonable air fair, I used the “multi city “ option a couple of you recommended and got a...
I am landing in Biarritz on the 9th May and starting my walk from SJPDP on the 10th May.
Does anyone have any suggestions where I can stay overnight on the 9th.
And secondly how I can get from Biarritz to SJPDP
I’ve been making my way south after flying into Amsterdam. I’m now in Paris, trains are fully booked, and can’t get a train to Bayonne for several days. What alternatives are there besides taking a bus for 12-26 hrs.
