Hi William, Thanks for the advise. I will most probably do just that. My only concern was how difficult it would be to get a refugio each evening. I have heard of hostels which apparently you can book in advance and are quite cheap. Do you or anyone else reading this know...

Hi, I have 4 weeks to do a camino next June and would greatly appreciate any advice on whether it would be better to cycle or walk and which would be the best route to take. I am concerned that the refugios will be very overcrowded in June, so I was thinking of cycling with a tent or possibly...

Figeac to Rocamadour variant along GR 6

Hi Anna, many thanks for all the useful information. I am doing the camino in stages, whenever I get the time. I would probably be on my own, but may do this section with a few pals. I was thinking of doing it in July, which I know will be hot. Many thanks, again. Richard

Figeac to Rocamadour variant along GR 6

Hi, I am thinking of taking an alternative route at Figeac and going via Rocamadour and then probably turning south to Cahors. I would appreciate any information on this - would you recommend it, also accommodation, route marking (or lack of) and maps. Any recommended guide book? All advice...

Le Puy to Conques Recommended Stages.

Hi, I am a new member of the Forum and I am walking from Le Puy to Conques on my own in June I2009. Does anyone have a recommendation of where to stop overnight along the route? I am not in a hurry and don't want to do too much on any day. Any information would be much appreciated. Regards...
