To cycle or walk and which route.

Hi, I have 4 weeks to do a camino next June and would greatly appreciate any advice on whether it would be better to cycle or walk and which would be the best route to take. I am concerned that the refugios will be very overcrowded in June, so I was thinking of cycling with a tent or possibly taking a less crowded route, although I have almost no Spanish! If the refugios were not too bad I would like to recommence where I finished a previous walk ie. at Legrono, and just walk on to Santiago. Any thoughts? Richard

If you have little or no Spanish one of the less crowded Caminos could be a lonely experience.

I would suggest (in spite of being a cyclist myself) that you start walking from Logrono and see how things go.

Hi William,

Thanks for the advise. I will most probably do just that. My only concern was how difficult it would be to get a refugio each evening. I have heard of hostels which apparently you can book in advance and are quite cheap. Do you or anyone else reading this know anything about them?
