Was wondering if the complimentario path after Arcade and close to entering Pontevedra is still closed? I was there four weeks ago and wondering if repairs have been made to the beautiful wooded path. There were signs the complimentario was closed. We walked the the standard route that was mostly pavement and city walking. Thanks in advance!!!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
We took that Complimento route 26th Sept. At some point (halfway?) along it detours you back to road- we guessed still under construction further along. So pretty & we really enjoyed being on this path by the stream We were the only ones who walked that way within eye/earshot.

Did you walk inside the tunnel with the great mural art before getting onto the road? Thanks!

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
On October 15th it was still officially closed and the marker for the deviation was shrouded in plastic. I spoke with some southbound walkers who had just come that way, so when my party of 3 reached the turn off, I waited until I could see no one behind us, and then we quickly hustled down the trail without being followed.

There were still some trees down from the storms we had to climb over, and they were still working on repairing the trail, adding some new bridges. Luckily, no one was working on it that day other than what appeared to be a group of surveyors. It was absolutely magical to be there with no one else chattering away on the trail. We were able to go the whole distance taking the tunnel at the very end.

I will be taking it again on Tuesday, and can provide updated info on it then.

Good to know that you were able to duck in and walk the entirety! Good news that they are working on it too!! Yes, update if you can!! Thank you!!

Join the Camino cleanup. Logroño to Burgos May 2025 & Astorga to OCebreiro in June
We walked the whole length today without issue. It’s a tiny bit muddy in spots but nothing major.

A bit slow to update, but the complimentario has officially reopened. If you walk it, there is a point where they redirect you to go back to the main road, but continuing on has you climb over a fallen tree, and then practice the limbo under two others.

No if the bikers would stay off when it has been raining, that would be great.
