Hello, hoping someone can help me.
I arrive into Biarritz Airport (BIQ) this Sunday at 13:25 when all La Poste (French postal service) offices are closed
I plan to cycle to St Jean Pied de Port so need to post my Bike Bag & some spare clothes to SdC before I do.
Any ideas on how I can manage this on a Sunday?
Is there anywhere that will take my package & post it for me on Monday morning?
Regards,
M

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
International customs issues, etc. Why not a bike box that you can dispose of in France and buy a new one in SdC for your return trip. You could carry your spare parts, n’est pas?

You might be right although I have 2 other options now also

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Wait until Monday, take the train to SJPdP, pack your bike in a cardboard bike box (I've never used anything else), send your spare clothes from Pamplona but then why take clothes not required on the Camino? Less is more, any necessity can be found / bought along the way.

I have used Express Bourricot twice from Biarritz and had them forward my Evoc bike bag from SJpdP to Santiago, where they have stored it until my arrival. It can be expensive if you happen to be the only client on the run from the airport (70E last time - same price as a taxi).

For future reference when travelling, I always find it useful to have sorted out all these types of things as part of the initial travel planing before I book an airline ticket. Perhaps the cheapest airline ticket is often not the best option.

Then the flight destinations and time/date of flight can all fit in with other logistic issues, say location of and time of arrival at hotel for first night. etc etc.

Have you thought of the time and logistics of getting your bike home?

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I flew into Biarritz with my bike in a cardboard box last month, and picked up a replacement box at a Coruña airport for the journey home. No problems at all and the Iberia staff at A Coruña were more than helpful. I believe that there are plenty of options to pick up cardboard boxes in Santiago.

The ride from Biarritz Airport to SJPDP was delightful and I recommend it.

I don't think that Pac Bicicletta from Correos is available for people who live in the UK, due to brexit.
