Convent in A Guarda

A selection of Camino Jewellery
I haven't been, but am always interested in adding more places to my lists lol. It looks lovely and not exceptionally expensive. The rate listings on their website is hilarious although I'm sure it's an unintentional translation error. Prices for rooms are listed as Temp. Low, Average Temp. and Temp. High, which I assume is high and low seasons, and for breakfast it says YEAH LOL.

A private room and bathroom on Camino is always worth it IMO.

Yes! We stayed there last year and it was wonderful. The staff was great and very accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was quite good. The hotel staff gave us secure storage for our bicycles and they also arranged for a driver to take us up to Santa Trega (which was really great). The small town of A Guarda was nice too. The restaurants along the waterfront are good, but a bit pricey. Try the small restaurant El Paseo - it's very low key and the couple who own it are very nice. There is also a nicely stocked small grocery across from the hotel.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Yes, we stayed there! It was wonderful! We were surrounded by pieces of history. It is well worth it. If you take a rest day, make sure to hike up the hill to Celtic Ruins. We hiked up there on Easter morning, and as the fog cleared, it was an incredible sight.

I stayed there last week and it was lovely. The staff are friendly and welcoming, comfortable rooms and beds, with a decent bathroom! Nice atmosphere.

So worth the stay, very friendly and steeped in history and when we stayed, which was on a walk-in basis, we had what I would suggest was a very, very good rate. Enjoy your splurge and Buen Camino !

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
I stayed earlier this year. A historic, delightful and welcoming place to stay. Strict admission time but can leave bag earlier. Breakfast is excellent. An added bonus is the popular with the locals, family run, bar/restaurant Puerto Guardes no more than 100 metres away from the door. The food is fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. Open all day from early in the morning. Both highly recommended.

Even though booking says it’s full I was able to reserve by emailing them directly
