Can you switch out your footwear for sandals? If you don't have walking sandals (and can't borrow them), consider taking public transport to Decathlon in Vigo for walking sandals (and socks). Good luck!

I have been walking in a knee-length skirt, with a long skirt for town in the evening or changing at the beach. I also have a pair of pants for cold days, rain, bugs or grass. I would pick a skirt over a dress because the shirts are interchangeable.
If you're already in San Sebastian, consider the segment Irun to Deba or Guernika. You could stay two nights in San Sebastian and take transit to Irun, then walk back to San Sebastian - that will save you carrying packs.
