From your bedroom window

I just had the idea that even as we have less contact with our face to face community friends, maybe we could get to know our forum friends better.
So.....what’s the view out your bedroom window? If I look straight down from my second-storey bedroom I see this:

i don’t object to having vegetables by my front door!
Later this afternoon I can show you the view if I look straight out my window, but first thing in the morning (as it is now) I have sun streaming in which obliterates detail in a photo!

maybe next week we can look out our kitchen windows.....then living room...then our yards etc etc
If it goes on long enough we might even invite each other inside! Perhaps share a cup of tea (by posting teacup pictures).....
Emmmmm, tragically for this project but generally happily otherwise we have a very traditional old Spanish town house where the bedroom is in the centre of the house and has no windows. Doh.

Yeah, thank goodness, and a really nice patio to the rear......only the weather has been too bad for us to be able to enjoy them fully.

😊 nice to have some green space but sad the weather is not cooperating.. Here it already feels like summer with high temperture in above 26C (80F). I wish you and your family the best and hope it gets better soon.
I am missing Spain at the moment even with sunshine here. I am usually walking in the Spring., rain or snow.

Enjoying this thread. Thank you! I snapped this this morning after seeing this thread. From my bedroom window in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA, facing east. The mountains in the background are called the Sandias. (Spanish for watermelon many of you might know.) They are so-named because often at sunset they turn a bright pink or orange or red. The same reason the mountains about 65 miles north of us, the southern end of the Rockies, are called the Sangre de Cristos.

I am on Day 7 of 14 days of quarantine, having set foot on the island of Tasmania, Australia just one day after quarantine was introduced for all arrivals from the mainland. I was midway through my road trip from Queensland to Tasmania when restrictions were announced. The day after I arrived, airlines cancelled all flights back to Queensland, and then all States closes their borders. I came to start a new job, and my daughter was meant to join me at Easter. I was meant to leave May 2nd to walk the Portuguese, with the plan to celebrate my 50th birthday in SDC with my close friend. Despite the disappointment, when I arrived in my accommodation in the North-West of Tasmania, I knew straight away, yet again, the Universe was loving on me by giving me THIS house, THIS view and a beautiful new work family who I get to have virtual coffee with every morning. I miss my family so much and don’t when we’ll be together again. I miss the Camino I was so close to rejoining. I miss walking... I can’t leave my property. But I give thanks multiple times a day for this view which helps me endure the solitude of quarantine without loved ones to share it with. May you all be blessed with beautiful moments throughout your day❤️🙏40931755-9256-451E-B7BA-23BB49B96685.webp

Great view. China have come out of an extended lock down so there is hope for all of us. The Camino's not going anywhere. Hang in there, you're half way : )

its somewhat tough to do "from my bedroom window" since I have no windows in our bedroom. It has large French Doors that lead to the glass sun-room... but all you see is our back yard and into neighbor's driveway - B:(:(RING!)

Well.... couple of last days gave me the opportunity to snap couple of various photos that I finally felt were "worthy" of posting in this thread
As many have noticed - Spring is here :D

Black-headed Chickadees checking out one of our little birdhouses (we attach them straight to the patio rails so they are quite close to the various windows in the back of the house)

Finally, just because Spring has sprung does not mean that some are not in the 'foraging mode'
A squirrel working on the bird feeder accross the street at the neighbors lawn :D
At one point that guy was truly upside down and munching away

I wonder what effect those positive retests in Wuhan will have?

I do like my old bedroom window photo from an unusually snowy Winter, but it was still an old photo so I was cheating a bit with it.

Here's one from this afternoon (see ragged window edge at the right) :

Amazing David. It beats my not-quite-bedroom picture that I sent to another thread yesterday. From my bedroom you can see a nest (if you know where it is, a bit over 2 feet / 60 cm from our vegetable garden). The other day three bunnies escaped temporarily and made the nest known to us. There are a total of six; here is a closeup of one. We need a fence now.
