The Aussies will commiserate with the Kiwis on them not winning the rugby and the Kiwis will commiserate with the Aussies on having their best cricket team beaten by POMS. (Well done ladies!)

Seriously though, hot an dry in Iberia. Rehydrate.

Don't hog the boardwalks.

The coastal scenery is fabulous - stop and admire.

Portuguese drivers - you'll soon learn.

Baiona, Redondela and Pontevedra are all nice stops; Vigo and Padron (in my opinion) are not.

Yes, and nice to see a Spanish town that seems to have a vigorous economy - car manufacturing, ship building, and the biggest fishing port in Europe (so we were told by a local).

I would put in a vote for staying at the monastery in Herbon rather than stopping in Padron. But that might be the middle of a stage for cyclists.

You will win new friends among the walkers if each of you have bells on your bikes and use them when approaching walkers.
Enjoy Portugal, my wife and I will certainly return there again as we both loved it.

Beware of the Portuguese drivers. They drive fast and very close to the shoulder of the road they also drive on the right side of the road not on the left. When they are not in their cars they are very friendly and helpful and many speak English very well. Enjoy the wonderful food too.

I enjoyed the true tourist town Baiona, its beach and castle. At the nearby town Ramallosa, there is an Apostle Sisters convent, a private room for 10 euros, beautiful facilities and yards! The old town center in Vigo is beautiful, so are the isla Cies (by ferry). Enjoy!
