Many Airports in Europe fly into Biarritz. Iberian Airlines has regular flights. From Biarritz there is a train. OR you can reserve a van. We did and found 7 others in the airport who easily filled it to capacity. Cost was approximately 10 E

Enjoy, this is a fantastic experience

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
hi thank you so much for the reply can you tell me if the train station is near the airport please
Hi we've travelled from Dublin to Madrid. When u arrive get shuttle bus to T4 and then the train or bus from there. We've been doing it in stages too and find Madrid the best and most economical. We LL hopefully be going Madrid to Burgos nxt July

The Renfe train to Leon departs from Madrid Chamartin station.

Renfe Cercanias operates commuter trains from Madrid Airport T4 to Chamartin. It runs every 30 minutes. Trip time is about 20 minutes.

Madrid Metro operates subway trains from Madrid Airport T1T2T3 and T4 to Chamartin involving a transfer. It runs every 6 - 12 minutes. Trip time is about 30 minutes.

Alternatively, Alsa operates buses from Estacion Sur. Some buses start at Madrid Airport T4. Estacion Sur can be reached by taking Renfe Cercanias or Madrid Metro to Mendez Alvaro station.

Aena manages all of Spains airports. Here is site for Madrid:

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
The Madrid metro will get you to Chamartin train station very easily with only one transfer. It is probably the least expensive option. If my memory serves me correctly it only cost me 3.80 Euros this past September and it gets you there in no time. The directions to the metro are very well marked in the airport. The train to Leon is rapid and comfortable. I would recommend that you make your train reservation ahead of time.

Skyscanner cheapest flights directs you to sites like Hoo2, TravelMerry etc, which have bad reviews and have hints of Scams. Has anyone had experience using Hop2 or TravelMerry? I am traveling from San Francisco to walk CF. Since I will have to do some plane changes, I am nervous about these "cheap" tickets.
