Its over, or is it. …..Can one ever get over walking a Camino to Santiago de Compostela (by way of its final), for myself, no…it has become part of my being, of me, and I think about the journey often, maybe even daily…will it dull over time, no, because I intend to revitalize the immediate memory by walking another…however in time, age may not allow even more and after I will be left with memories, photos, will reminisce with my son, who accompanied me, and storytell to those who are interested and who will indulge me.

Finished posting the photos, here and on Flickr…I will make a photo book so when sitting on my couch, I can pick it up and browse through it…….smile and remember.

I have really enjoyed following your photos. Thank you for posting them. Are you going to write any sort of trip report? I hope so.

Thank you very much....and we intend to, my son wrote daily...which I shall lean on for the bulk of the content.

You are a changed person. The changes are not dependent on where you are in the world. They are dependent on what you do now, with the changed person you have become. You can choose to return to old routines and habits. Or you can bring your inner transformation into your home and work life, and transform that world, quietly and slowly, into something more in line with the ideal you lived the last few weeks.

How true......it is as you say, and I am happy because of it.

(BTW: Purchased your book awhile back....actually because of my wonderful online shopping abilities I managed to purchase 2, but no never mind, someone will get a good birthday present.....I am enjoying the read.)

I'm impressed with the size of your backpack; what did it weigh?

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

Check in weight at the airport was 7.2Kg's, that included my walking shoes @ +/-750g's, but not water or food. An awesome backpack and at 46l more than enough for my needs. The single negative, it was ever so slightly long in the torso for me, for my son perfect at he is taller than me with a longer torso. For my next Camino I will drop down to a max of 35l, as I know I carried a few "maybe's and "just in case's". The backpack is from Granite Gear.

That is what's supposed to happen. :)
