I have seen a lot of discussion threads on ¨Camino angels,¨ but I am interested in something different and didn´t find a thread on the topic. Who has photos of paintings, scultures, etc. of angels along a camino you´ve walked that you particularly like? I would love to see people´s photos of angels they´ve seen along the way.

To get started, here is a favorite angel of mine - from the museum at the Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela by Master Mateo.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Yesterday, I saw this angel statue (perhaps Gabriel?) inside the church at Montefurado on the Camino Invierno.
The church is San Miguel and the angel has the attributes of Saint Michael, a sword and slaying a dragon, so I think it is the archangel Michael.

Great details, Rick. Yes, there was a dragon underfoot and he, (apparently St. Michael) is carrying a sword to stab it.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Hello @MesaWalker
Some of my favourite angels are found on the tympanums of romanesque churches in France.

Here are a couple of videos. Most of the churches are found along french pilgrim trails leading to Santiago de Compostela. (There are spanish angels & tympanum in the videos too). I particularly loved the angels of Colange-La-Rouge.

The second video gives closer views of the angels of Colange-La-Rouge and also a little history:

Not on the camino, of course, actually Blythburgh, Suffolk. If you know it, you´ll know it is a stunning church, a gem of late Gothic, one of those churches called cathedrals of the fens because they are so imposing being built with the wealth generated by the wool trade. These two angels are original.
