Hi all
I'm starting the Ingles next Sunday (1st), anyone got any good ideas how to get from the airport to Ferrol, I've looked st Rome to Rio, & the can prices are unbelievable.....cheers all

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
For shorter itineraries like this, Google maps public transit option seems to work better than Rome2Rio. In this case, it will show you plenty of options from the A Coruna airport to Ferrol (as @Bradypus indicates). Should take you between 90 minutes and 2 hours altogether, and not cost more than 10 euros. Whatever app. you use, however, make sure you drill down to the website of the actual transit provider, to ensure that the schedule information is accurate. Inaccurate schedule information seems to be a problem, in particular, with Rome2Rio.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Yea agreed! R2R is great for showing potential options (it once saved me from getting 3 flights when there was a direct boat option) but drill down for fares and schedules to the operators website (which R2R gives you).

We took the train from A Coruna to Ferrol. Lovely scenery that was slightly frustrating as we chugged by towns we would be walking to in a few days lol.
Buen Camino!

I did this last week! Bus from the airport to A Coruña bus station then bus to Ferrol, it was cheap and not complicated. Buen Camino! I had a wonderful time on the Ingles!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Some of the trains from A Coruna to Ferrol stop a the O Burgo-Santiago train station which is a very short taxi from the airport. NOT ALL TRAINS MAKE THIS STOP. My experience is from 2019 so please check. In O Burgo there’s a market and bar very close to the station. Chose a random date…good luck

Agreed but both have their uses.

I would be interested to know where you are coming FROM, eg are you first walking the Reading to Southampton Camino?

I have done the 1st part, Reading to Southampton, in May, which I might add, is a nice walk.
Thanks for all the advice
