Albergue Bruno is the place to go if you want to mix it up with a taste of Italian hospitality. Great vino and Italian sphaghetti from Chef Anne, owner Bruno runs the place with ease, volunteers Pietro and Luca are really great to meet. They are all at Moratinos and run a gold medal level albergue the Italian way: jovial, great food, advice, and an interest in you the Peregrino. Give it a go folk

Agreed. The pilgrim meal when I was there last September was a delicious spaghetti carbonara. Lovely garden as well...

When I walked the Frances in 2022 during a heat wave I booked the hotel that you walk past when you first arrive in town because they advertised air conditioning on Booking.com.

They do not have ac and my room was very stuffy when I checked in. Feeling a bit pissed off and deceived I walked down the street to see about getting lunch at Bruno. I found an oasis there.

Friendly owners, lots of shade, green grass and a foot bath. They whipped up some lunch for me and I ended up checking out of the hotel and moving here instead. The dorm was actually quite cool despite it being a very hot day.

I will be back on the Frances this summer and if I end up staying in Moratinos again I will definitely stay here!

I have stayed here twice. I agree with the comments above.

If you visit Paddy, you might be a bit wobbly on your return to Bruno's.

A stop at the Bodega in the middle of Moratinos is definitely worth the time.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
