Saw this all-terrain wheelchair from Aus,
As more paraplegics get the opportunity to do Camino stretches, this might be a good idea for the helpers/sherpas that have to do the manual toil of the journey...

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
It looks pretty fantastic. As with all new inventions, it probably should be extensively tested by the user before deciding that it would work on the camino. I have a similar rig for hands-free toddler transport while hiking. It has a shoulder harness so that hands do not have to be occupied with the handles. It works great up to about 40 pounds.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
With the one-wheel chairs, you can go on narrow footpaths like you find them sometimes on the chemins in France and the caminos in Spain. It's quite an endeavour, some would even say it's crazy, and I know for certain that getting a Compostela or not is not uppermost on people's mind in these groups.
I once saw a search and rescue team doing an evacuation of an injured hiker on a steep and rocky trail using a one-wheeled gurney built on the same principle as the one-wheeled chair pictured in the original post above.

My daughter had just completed 250km of Camino Francais in a wheelchair with a hand cycle attachment, not motorised. IP1000913.JPG had to help her up the hills - lots of hard work for both of us.

Congratulations to both of you! That's quite an achievement.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
It's something I'm dreading as my legs continue to deteriorate, but the inspiration from past wheelchair pilgrims gives me hope.

I'd really like to get at least one more good foot one done !!

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
I did not realize this wheelchair was motorized, thamnks. It does take the simplicity out of it. This , iIbelieve is for a trip in a park area with good paving, so a simpler consteruction would be better ...

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
I did not realize this wheelchair was motorized, thanks. It does take the simplicity out of it.

Not really -- seriously handicapped persons have been eligible for Compostelas even when using motorized wheelchairs for many decades, in part because it's hard to be more simple than that.

I have nothing but the deepest respect for all wheelchair pilgrims, whether they can propel themselves forward just using their arms or if some engine assistance is needed.
