Hi, we’re planning walk Camino from Ourense to Santiago, and should we get the first stamp in Ourense ( the beginning point)? And just get the first one on the road?
And is it easy to get stamps along Camino?
Sorry, maybe a stupid question. But it’s my first time to walk, and so nervous.
How is the weather in mid- October? Rainy day?
Can someone give us the details? Appreciate for your help.

Hi Yuchu. Yes, you should get a stamp in Ourense. You will find any cafe, bar, hotel and albergue, along with many other businesses will be able to give you a stamp. There will be no trouble getting them. Remember you will need two stamps per day if you wish to receive a Compostela. I'm not familiar with the weather in October however you should be prepared for any situation.

Feeling nervous is perfectly normal. You will be fine.

Buen Camino!

According to the site gronze, the distance between Ourense and Santiago is 105.4 km. You can get Compostela by walking pilgrimage and getting 2 stamps per day. Get stamped at restaurants, bars, albergues, city halls, police stations, and more. You will do well.

That is correct, and since it's just over 100 km from Ourense its very important to get a stamp there to document that the starting point is at least 100 km from Santiago if you want to receive a Compostela.

walked in October 2015, plan to walk again in October 2016
I just came back from the Via de la Plata and I did not get 2 stamps from Ourense on. It never occurred to me. I don’t think it is that easy since there are hardly any cafes or bars between albergues. I got my Compostela and the distance certificate with no problem

I think it might be different for someone starting from Ourense.

Some people receive a Compostela with just one stamp (I did) but it is against the rules and depends on the staff member's compassion/judgement and the "pilgriminess" of the applicant. You must have passed both tests!

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.
