Word to the wise: if you are considering starting the Baztanes tomorrow, Saturday July 28, you should know that the Tour de France is being run through the area that day, and the stage will end in Esplette. Which of course means if you want to end your first day anywhere in the area between Ustartz and Sourade/Esplette, you'll probably have to sleep on a church porch someplace.
