Hi there, I have printed out my Correos labels but it is only a piece of paper - do Correos provide a plastic wallet it slots into? Can I buy one at the post office in Spain? Or should I make some sort of plastic wallet before I leave home?

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

I would slip it into a ziplock baggie. Punch a hole in a corner and attach to your bag with a zip tie. If you have cardstock I'd print it on that.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Yup - Always have a couple of ziplock bags in your pack.

Also, most locations that use Correos will have sticky "luggage label" tags for Correos which will take a couple of locations.

We only found this out when a receptionist was looking in a drawer to find string for us to attach our ziplock bag to our rucksack and we saw the options - See attached pic

Ah, thanks, that's really helpful. I did make my own holder in the end cutting up a plastic document holder, but if my accommodation changes en route will use sticky labels.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc

While this may work, sometimes the tags get caught between bags. I, personally, would not trust a ziplock for durability.

These tags are smaller. I cut down the paper printable tags into two sections and put each part inside a seperate tag. Then I punch a wider whole in the top, and reinforce it with silver tape!
I use small bungee chord ( can get at many dollar stores or Walmarts) and use that to secure the tag to the bag. Never lost a tag, but one was significantly damaged. If it had been inazip lock it would have become detached, for sure! I keep the second tag in the luggage and when the first is done, I cut it off. Then I use the second tag with bungee chord already precut at home cut and attached to it. Easy to change. I spend maybe 5 minutes the whole trip focused on sending bags.

Do the labels actually get marked up with ink at each stop or do they just scan the QR code? I am wondering if I tape it into a plastic sheath, if that's okay or if they need to actually access the paper to mark it off or something. Thank you!

I always make sure that the QR code is visible. But It is in the plastic and I am not sure how easy it is
to scan. If you go to the website and paq mochilla there is an email address. They are very good about answering. When you get a definitive answer from Correos, do post here.

Thanks

We just used 4" clear tape on both sides, poked a hole for a luggage tag and it stayed on the same bag throughout our camino. Make another copy to bring along.
