While perusing Instagram, an ad for Vodaphone Travel eSim popped up in my feed. The site is clear on how to buy, download, and install the Vodaphone travel eSim. You can buy and install the eSim at home, then activate it once you arrive in Europe.
It's a data only eSim, so you won't get a phone number with it, but I buy credits from the Viber app to make VOIP calls to numbers that I can't call via WhatsApp.

Edit: I haven't personally used the Vodaphone Travel eSim - just passing on the information.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-

I’m using Holafly eSIM, it gives you a number (Austrian) but only 60 mins of tele but unlimited data for the period of time you choose. My 90 day was $99€.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
I don't use Instagram nor do I use Vodafone as my home based telco provider, so is this available to all who wish to purchase?? Thanks in advance!

Of course it is available to anyone. The ad just popped up for me, probably because the algorithm knows what I'm up to. 😉 It's an eSim for travelers to use in Europe.
There are other companies offering eSims for travelers like Airalo and Holafly. There has been some discussion about Vodaphone and other cell stores in Spain not being up on how to install eSims, so it seemed worthwhile to post the direct link to Vodaphone.

That’s what I’m using right now on the Camino Frances. And I’m pleased with it. I can use WhatsApp to call home. The signal has been very good so far.

Today, I was just going to post this question! I think Holafly will still be my choice as I will have unlimited data. Thanks for posting this thread, it is useful.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Funnily enough, I just finished reading this article in today's New York Times, which of course made me think of my fellow peregrinos:

I read via another recent thread that Holafly's "unlimited" data comes with a catch: apparently, data speeds are throttled after a certain period of time to the point where the service becomes unusable. Curious to know if you've encountered that in your own experience.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

I'll let everyone know once I start using it next week. Not being a heavy data user, I may not find out. I used one in the UK and had no problem though. Stay tuned!
