Wise Pilgrim: “recent comments”

Only recently downloaded the Wise Pilgrim app (iPhone) and it’s very, very helpful.
The one frustration I have is that the “Recent Comments” do not always include the name of the restaurant/bar/coffee stop described. Where one might say “Albergue Buenavista is wonderful” “Another might say “Best sandwich on the Camino”. With the latter there is no way I know where the heck they got that great sandwich! Am I missing something? Is there some way of linking these comments to the unnamed place?
Or must I tread the path searching for that wonderful sandwich? Will the Camino provide?

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
Same here @MaxHelado . Yesterday the app was downloaded and I played with it after dinner. Drilling down to a specific town brought up groupings of albergue, etc, and at the end of the list a variety of comments. When I clicked on a specific albergue it gave me the comments specifically for the albergue chosen.

If I read a review that proclaims “the Best Sandwich on the Camino” I think I would like to know more than just where it is available. I would like to know the qualifications of the reviewer: how many Camino have they walked? What is their experience of sandwich consumption? Are they in anyway acquainted with or related to the proprietor?

These are important qualifications. After all, who knew that the London Heathrow Hilton had “such stunning rural views” until I started posting reviews….

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Oh man, I feel your pain. The comments run the gamut from very helpful, joyful optimism, and positivity… to the more vague comments as you mention. I curate then to the best of my ability but there isn’t any good way to connect the sandwich and the reviewers creds to the meat itself.

But the ones that really mystify are the pilgrims that leave a phone number and a request for a reservation. I nix these as fast as possible, the rest I do my best. I am of the firm belief that pilgrimage requires a bit of adventure and risk taking. You might find that sandwich, you might not. You might have the most fun you’ll never want to have again while searching.

All that said, the comments are still very helpful to pilgrims. Soon I will add the ability to flag the comments that are not helpful.

After walking 30Kms, *any* food will simply be the bast that you have ever tasted!

Only by training before your Camino will allow you to experience this feeling of delight. If you are in pain, it is hard to appreciate anything on the Camino.

Well, that's something I hadn't figured out! And useful to know!
But that still leaves me with unallocated comments. Just reading one now from someone who "stopped in for a pizza it was very good" but sadly they don't tell me where. The pizza place is not listed by Gronze so I can't find a way to easily identify where it is or what it is called.
Not only am I still looking for the best sandwich on the camino but now I have mislaid my Camino Calzone. Things are going downhill fast......

True, true......

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Let me say very clearly that I have found the App enormously helpful. I love it.
Just wondered if I was missing some clever way of connecting comments with places when the writer did not give a name. Looks like I can't and that's absolutely fine with me. Now I know.
Great work!
