I just downloaded the Gronze app. It can be used only with an Internet connection so that’s a bit of a disadvantage. It apparently is in Spanish only, or I didn’t see translate function. Translating the website is no problem.Try the Gronze app i preferred it to the wise pilgrims which I used both on the Vdlp!
Thanks. Happy to pay for them as and when. I just hoped to have them all in one place.I have the separate WP Salvador, Olvidado and San Olaf apps. I can’t remember what they cost, but I doubt it’s much more than a cup of coffee.
Nonetheless my copy of ‘All Caminos’ - like yours - lists them as coming soon.
Have a look at the Gronze Maps app (lower RHS in pic). I used it exclusively on the VdlP last year...very happy with it. It's separate to web based Gronze, and works offline with GPS.I just downloaded the Gronze app. It can be used only with an Internet connection so that’s a bit of a disadvantage. The website says "Currently, Gronze Maps only works with Internet connection."Maybe the map part of the Gronze Maps app works offline
I don't dispute that the website says that. But neither do I dispute the experience reported by @Kev&Kath. This is one way to not deny their experience. The other is to assume that the Aviso is out of date and the website hasn't been updated to reflect that. I'm open to other explanations. The website says "Currently, Gronze Maps only works with Internet connection."

That's definitely a possibility. But it seems like apps with offline GPS capability have you download the map before you can use it offline. I don't see that download function on the Gronze Maps app.The other is to assume that the Aviso is out of date and the website hasn't been updated to reflect that.
I like the Camino specific apps like Wise Pilgrim and Buen Camino because all the information is right there - GPS tracks for navigation, accommodations, what services each town has, plus a bit of history and culture.you can also use alltrails if looking for navigation. I am going to try it in 4 weeks to see its accuracy
Trecile...there's no pre-loading requirement for Gronze Maps. Just open the App and select the location button. That's definitely a possibility. … assuming you’re online?Trecile...there's no pre-loading requirement for Gronze Maps. Just open the App and select the location button.
Yes, that's what I meant.… assuming you’re online?
I think Trecile was referring to the offline maps available in Wise pilgrim - and elsewhere - but not Gronze.
Have you really tried it?I don't dispute that the website says that. But neither do I dispute the experience reported by @Kev&Kath. This is one way to not deny their experience. I've read that the Wise Pilgrim app crashes regularly. Does anyone have an opinion about this? The paid versions of Wise Pilgrim have a lot more information than the free All Routes version and are definitely worth the extra money.
When I first used the Wise Pilgrim app on my Android phone back in 2017, it did crash a lot. I have had no problems with it whatsoever the last few years.I've read that the Wise Pilgrim app crashes regularly. Does anyone have an opinion about this?
